Mens 2nd Team – Head Coach Season Review
Season review.
Preseason was good with lots of players returning and new faces. Squad was picked quite quickly. However I had to trim down after the Preseason friendly which was hard knowing some players had been in the 2s the previous season and some were in their final year.
Once the decision was made. We started the season very well with a great win away to abertay.
However we did face some challanges along the way with illness, Injuries, players leaving the programme. However we managed to keep chipping away at the results.
Cup run.
Looking at the draw for the cup we seen a perfect opportunity to hit the semi final stage of the competition and that’s exactly what we did. That gave us a rare opportunity to play against our first team which doesn’t happen very often. Result went in their favour however we were a good close unit come the Friday morning.
League result.
One target one outcome.
Champions.
Wasn’t pretty but got the job done with a 4-1 away win in Aberdeen.
Next season targets.
Previously in 3A we ended up with 6 points so the the first objective.
