Women’s 1st Team

The Women’s 1st Team competes in the top league in Scotland, BUCS 1A. They also travel all around the UK for BUCS British Trophy games and compete in the Scottish Student Sport Women’s Cup. They were promoted to the top league in 2014 after being promoted from BUCS 2A, a season in which they won every match and did so without conceding a single goal. In 2019/20 season the team won BUCS 1A for the first time and did so winning all 10 league games.

The 1st Team programme is intense, with players undergoing three pitch sessions, two strength and conditioning sessions and a video analysis session in addition to the games programme. Playing for the Women’s 1st Team is the pinnacle of the women’s pathway and in recent years we have attracted a high calibre of player from all over the world. Through an arrangement with Dundee United FC Women’s team, players now have an added opportunity to compete beyond the BUCS championship in the Scottish Women’s League and Cup Programme. Fixtures take place on Sunday’s, which enables players to commit to both clubs and maximise their development.
