Men’s 1st Team

The Men’s 1st team won the 2018 Queen’s Park Shield, beating Strathclyde in the final of the prestigious tournament for the first time since 1943. In 2020, the team won the Conference Cup after defeating Strathclyde in the final; in 2022, the team defended its Conference Cup triumph in a 3-0 win over Stirling, becoming the first-ever team to retain the trophy. They currently play in Scottish University BUCS League 2Aand have done so since gaining promotion in 2013. Previous to that promotion it had been 8 years since they performed in one of the top two leagues.

The 1st Team programme is intense as they undergo year round pitch, strength and conditioning, and video analysis sessions in addition to the games programme. Playing for the Men’s 1st Team is the pinnacle of the men’s player pathway and in recent years we have attracted a high calibre of player from all over the world. The team is coached by Phil McGuire.
