Following on from the Scottish Government announcement on Tuesday and Fife moving into tier 3 of the Scottish Covid guidelines from Friday 13th November, this will unfortunately have an impact on the football club. Tier 3 status means that all contact training will have to stop from Friday along with games, internal or external. Whilst this is a blow and a disappointing scenario to find ourselves in, especially as we were only 3 days away from a return to competitive action, we understand and respect the situation.
Our players and staff have been fantastic up until this point, very respectful, appreciative and patient in what is an ever changing and challenging world currently. The safety of all players and staff, their families and the wider Scottish community is of upmost importance as we aim to come through this pandemic as quickly and safely as possible.
We will continue to train (non contact) until such time where the restrictions change again so that we can provide positive physical and mental health to everyone within our club. Further information about the football specific tiering system restrictions can be found here https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/football-development/return-to-football-hub/covid-protection-levels-guidance/
Stay safe everyone.
