Men 4th Team – Captain Season Review

Writing this in the middle of March I feel quite gutted that football is finished for the academic year. However, looking back, I feel proud of what the 4s have achieved. Despite 2020 not quite being our year, we can hold our heads high for the effort we have put in and our league standing.

After a disappointing year with the 4s last year, we knew we had to improve, and we certainly achieved that. Finishing on 14 points is a successful season for me and I am very happy with the contribution from all of the boys within the team. This could not happen without the hard work and dedication of our coach, James Fitzpatrick, and I want to thank him for all that he did this season and in cannot wait to get back into it in September.

I said it in the mid-season review, and I would like to highlight it again; our 10-1 victory over Dundee. This is by far our highlight of the season and I am sure it will remain with the 4s for quite a while.

I wish all of our leavers the best. Sonny, Benji and Kai have been crucial to our season and have been fantastic for the club during their university degree. We will miss them a lot! I also would like to wish Jono, Josh and Aidan all the best for their studies abroad; I am already excited for their return in the 2021/22 academic year.

The Quatros cannot wait to be back training and playing during pre-season and hope everybody stays safe until then.

Alistair Robinson

4th Team Captain
